By using ScanToExcel ("the Service"), you agree to these terms.
1. Service Description
ScanToExcel converts document images into Excel spreadsheets using AI-powered text extraction. Results depend on image quality and document complexity. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of extracted data. Always verify extracted data before using it for financial, legal, or other critical purposes.
2. Accounts
- You may create an account using email/password or Google Sign-In.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Free Usage & Credits
- New accounts receive 2 free pages on the web app and 2 free pages on the iOS app.
- After free credits are exhausted, a paid plan or Page Pack purchase is required to continue scanning.
- Page Packs are one-time purchases that do not expire.
- Free credits cannot be transferred, sold, or refunded.
4. Paid Subscriptions
- Paid plans (Pro, API) are billed monthly or annually as selected at purchase.
- All payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), our merchant of record. Paddle acts as the seller for all web purchases and handles billing, tax collection, invoicing, and payment processing.
- By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled according to Paddle's refund policy. Contact us if you have a billing issue.
5. Refund Policy
- Subscriptions (Pro & API): If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. After 14 days, no refunds will be issued for the current billing period, but you can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
- Page Packs: Page Packs are non-refundable once credits have been used. If no credits from the pack have been used, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- How to request a refund: Contact us at scantoexcelat@gmail.com with your account email and reason for the refund. We aim to process all refund requests within 5 business days.
- Since Paddle is our merchant of record, refunds are processed through Paddle and returned to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or payment provider.
- iOS purchases: Refunds for iOS in-app purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com.
- We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of abuse or fraud.
6. iOS Subscriptions (App Store)
- iOS in-app subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and managed by Apple.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
7. API Usage
- API access is available on the API plan. You receive a unique API key for authentication.
- API keys are confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your API key.
- Rate limits apply (10 requests/second, 1,000 extractions/month on the standard API plan).
- We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for abuse or excessive usage.
8. Acceptable Use
- You may only scan documents you own or have permission to process.
- You may not use the Service for any illegal purpose or to process documents containing illegal content.
- You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the service.
- You may not resell access to the Service without prior written permission.
9. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your documents and extracted data. We claim no rights over your content. The ScanToExcel name, logo, and software are our intellectual property.
10. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from inaccurate data extraction, loss of data, or service interruptions.
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
